Helium 10 Alternatives (2026): What We Pay for Instead, and Why

Helium 10 alternatives from a seller who still pays for it: the tool that replaces research, keywords, profit, or PPC, with the monthly math for each swap.

Reader-supported — we may earn a commission from links on this page, at no extra cost to you. Details

Most lists of Helium 10 alternatives are written by companies selling one. This one comes from a store that pays for Helium 10 every month and plans to keep paying. Helium 10 is about twenty tools behind one login, and almost nobody uses twenty tools. So the useful question is not “what replaces Helium 10” but “which job am I paying it to do, and is there a better or cheaper tool for that job?”

We run a private-label Amazon store with a bit over $3M in lifetime sales. Next to Helium 10 we pay for Data Dive, Sellerise, Scale Insights, and SoStocked. We do not run Jungle Scout, SmartScout, or sellerboard. Our view of those comes from their published plans, their documentation, and side-by-side comparison, and we say so where it matters. Some of the tool pages linked below pay us a commission. Jungle Scout’s does not, and we recommend it anyway where it fits.

Why sellers are shopping around

Helium 10’s latest pricing round gave plenty of sellers a reason to look:

  • The Starter plan is gone. Paid use now starts at Platinum.
  • Platinum costs $129 a month on monthly billing, up from $99. The annual plan still works out to $99 a month.
  • Platinum lost some allowances. The pricing page now shows keyword research at 100 searches a month, and lists Helium 10 Ads (the PPC tool formerly called Adtomic) as a Diamond feature. Trade press also reported a subscriber notice capping AI listing generation at five lifetime uses and Alerts at five ASINs, applied at each account’s next renewal.
  • Diamond is $279 a month on annual billing, or $359 monthly, and it adds a 2% fee on ad spend managed through it.

None of this makes Helium 10 a bad tool. Cerebro is still the best reverse-ASIN keyword tool we have used. It does make Helium 10 a worse deal for a seller who only ever opens two or three of its tools.

The short answer

  • You use it for product research before launch: Jungle Scout Growth Accelerator for private label, SmartScout for wholesale and arbitrage.
  • You use it for keywords and listings: Data Dive. Our listing rewrites start there.
  • You mostly open the Profits dashboard: Sellerise, or sellerboard if you want something gentler.
  • You wanted Helium 10 Ads without paying for Diamond: Scale Insights.
  • You want to spend nothing: Helium 10’s own free plan plus the free core of the Sellerise Chrome extension.
  • You live in Cerebro every week: keep Platinum on annual billing. That is what we do.

Which Helium 10 job are you replacing?

Prices are entry plans. Where a tool offers annual billing, the first figure is the annual price per month.

The job Helium 10 tool Alternative Entry price (annual / monthly) In our store?
Product research Black Box, Xray Jungle Scout Growth Accelerator $49 / $79 No, comparative
Brand and wholesale research Black Box SmartScout Basic $29 / $49 No, comparative
Keywords and listings Cerebro, Magnet, Listing Builder Data Dive Starter $32 / $39 Yes

Profit and reimbursements Profits, managed refunds Sellerise Starter or Growing $19.99 or $39.99, monthly only Yes

Inventory planning Inventory Management SoStocked About $175 to $250 Yes

Product research: Jungle Scout or SmartScout

If Black Box and Xray are why you subscribe, you are probably pre-launch, and that is the stage where Helium 10 is weakest on value. Jungle Scout’s Growth Accelerator is $49 a month on annual billing, half the price of Platinum. It includes an unlimited product database, Opportunity Finder, and a Supplier Database built from import records, which Helium 10 has no answer to. Skip Jungle Scout’s Starter plan: 100 database searches and 50 keyword searches a month run out in the first week of serious research. The full breakdown is in our Jungle Scout vs Helium 10 comparison.

The trade-off is keyword depth. Keyword Scout stops at 250 searches a month on Growth Accelerator and has nothing like Cerebro’s multi-ASIN comparison. That matters little before you own a listing and a lot after. There is no free plan, only a 7-day money-back guarantee, so treat that week as your trial. Jungle Scout also has no affiliate program, so we earn nothing if you choose it.

If you are reading an older alternatives list, you may see Viral Launch near the top. It shut down, and its old domain now lands on a parking page, so cross it off.

SmartScout is a different shape of research. It starts from brands, sellers, and subcategories instead of single products, which makes it the stronger tool for wholesale and arbitrage, where the question is “which brand has six resellers and nobody holding the Buy Box” rather than “what should I make.” Basic is $49 a month, or $29 a month on yearly billing. Brand-level data needs Essentials at $119, and the seller-level data that gives SmartScout its reputation needs Business at $299. SmartScout gives our readers the code BBS25 for 25% off the first three months on any plan.

For a private-label brand that already owns Helium 10 or Data Dive, SmartScout is a luxury, but one month of it is a cheap look at who controls a subcategory. Our product validation guide shows where that check fits.

Keywords and listings: Data Dive

This is the swap we would make first, and the one we have already half made. Data Dive takes the competitors you choose in a niche, pulls every keyword they rank for, and scores each term by how many of them rank. The output is a master keyword list with a cut line, a listing structure that puts the important words in the title and bullets, and a PPC campaign skeleton built from the same list. Rank Radar then shows whether the listing change actually moved those keywords. Cerebro gives you the raw data. Data Dive tells you what to do with it.

Starter is $39 a month, or $32 on annual billing, with 100 dive ASINs, 25 Rank Radar keywords, and one Seller Central account. That is enough for a single brand with a handful of products. Standard at $149 a month ($124 annual) is for agencies and multi-brand sellers who need 10 seats and 1,000 tracked keywords.

Check one thing before you cancel Helium 10. Data Dive used to require a Helium 10 Platinum subscription for its Cerebro data. It no longer does: it now pulls Jungle Scout data that is included in its own subscription. We still run both, for reasons covered in our Data Dive vs Helium 10 comparison. Our Amazon listing SEO guide walks through the keyword-to-listing workflow that either tool feeds.

Profit and analytics: Sellerise or sellerboard

Helium 10’s Profits dashboard is fine for a glance and not for closing the books. If it is the main thing you open, you are paying $99 a month for a job that costs $15 to $40 elsewhere.

Sellerise is the first tab we open every morning. It nets revenue, Amazon fees, refunds, ad spend, and cost of goods per day, per product, and per marketplace, and its number is the one we trust. Starter is $19.99 a month with 1,000 orders. Growing at $39.99 adds reimbursement auditing with no percentage taken from what you recover, where Helium 10’s managed refund service keeps 15% on Platinum. The catches: billing is monthly only, and a strong sales month can push you past Starter’s order limit into add-on charges at $2 per extra 1,000 orders. The 7-day trial needs no card.

sellerboard is the gentler option at $19 a month, or $15 on annual billing, for 3,000 orders, with every tool on every plan and a one-month free trial. Its money-back report flags lost inventory but does not file the claims. If dashboards full of settings wear you out, start there. If you want reimbursement filing and Search Query Performance views, Sellerise goes further.

PPC: Scale Insights

Helium 10 Ads now sits on Diamond, which means $279 a month on annual billing before the 2% managed-spend fee. On $10,000 a month of ad spend, that fee alone is $200 a month.

Scale Insights runs the bid changes across our advertised products. You write rules in plain conditions (if ACoS is over 40% for 14 days with more than 10 clicks, lower the bid 15%), and it runs them daily or hourly, harvests converting search terms into new campaigns, and negates the ones that only spend. Pricing is per automated ASIN: $78 a month for 5, $98 for 10, $178 for 20, about 20% less on annual billing, plus a plan at 1% of ad spend by request for big catalogs. The 30-day trial has every feature, with automation limited to one product.

It does not think for you. If you do not know your target ACoS yet, it will execute bad rules very efficiently, and rules can collide, so start small and watch it for a week. We have no affiliate relationship with Scale Insights.

The free options

Free tools will not run a business, but they cover more than people expect:

  • Helium 10’s free plan. No card, limited runs of the core tools, and a limited Chrome extension. Enough to learn how reverse-ASIN keyword research works before you pay anyone.
  • The Sellerise Chrome extension. The core is free and shows estimated sales, revenue, price history, and FBA fees on any listing you browse. Run it next to Xray. Where two models agree, you have a number. Where they disagree by 2x, you have a question.
  • Amazon’s own Brand Analytics. If you are brand registered, the Search Query Performance report shows real impressions, clicks, and purchases for your search terms. It is Amazon’s data, not a model.
  • sellerboard’s one-month trial. Not free forever, but a month of real profit data tells you whether you need a paid dashboard at all.

What it costs to replace Platinum with specialists

Platinum is $99 a month on annual billing, or $129 monthly. Here is what the common swaps cost on entry plans. Sellerise has no annual plan, so its $19.99 appears in both columns.

Stack Annual billing, per month Monthly billing Against Platinum ($99 / $129)
Data Dive Starter $32 $39 Saves $67 / $90
Data Dive Starter + Sellerise Starter $51.99 $58.99 Saves $47.01 / $70.01
SmartScout Basic + sellerboard Standard $44 $68 Saves $55 / $61
Jungle Scout Growth Accelerator + Sellerise Starter $68.99 $98.99 Saves $30.01 / $30.01
Jungle Scout GA + Data Dive Starter + Sellerise Starter $100.99 $137.99 Costs $1.99 / $8.99 more

And the PPC route, using Scale Insights at its monthly price in both columns:

PPC stack Annual billing, per month Monthly billing
Helium 10 Diamond (Helium 10 Ads included, plus 2% of managed spend) $279 $359
Helium 10 Platinum + Scale Insights, 5 ASINs $177 $207
Data Dive Starter + Scale Insights, 5 ASINs $110 $117

The pattern is plain. If you use one or two Helium 10 jobs, specialists are cheaper, often by more than half: Data Dive plus Sellerise comes to about $624 a year against $1,188 for annual Platinum. If you use three or more, you pay about the same as Platinum and juggle more logins. Replacing everything rarely saves money. Replacing the job you actually do usually does. PPC is where the gap is widest: Platinum plus Scale Insights is $102 a month cheaper than Diamond on annual billing, before Diamond’s 2% fee.

What we actually run

Helium 10 Platinum stays because Cerebro and Magnet are still where our keyword research starts. Data Dive turns that research into listings and campaign structure, and Rank Radar tells us whether a rewrite worked. Sellerise handles daily profit and reimbursements. Scale Insights runs bids. SoStocked plans inventory, which no research suite does well. We have never been tempted by Diamond: the two things it would add for us, Helium 10 Ads and more tracked ASINs, are covered by Scale Insights and Rank Radar for less.

Verdict by seller type

Pre-launch, choosing a first product. Jungle Scout Growth Accelerator on annual billing, $588 for the year, plus Helium 10’s free plan to learn Cerebro. Add Data Dive Starter in the month you start writing the listing.

One or two live products, tight budget. Data Dive Starter plus Sellerise Starter, about $52 a month. That covers keywords, listing structure, rank tracking, and real profit for roughly half the price of Platinum.

Established private-label brand. Keep Platinum on annual billing, add Data Dive and Sellerise, and put PPC automation in Scale Insights instead of moving up to Diamond. That is our stack, and we have not found a cheaper one that does the same work.

Wholesale or arbitrage. SmartScout instead of Helium 10. Cerebro matters far less when you do not write the listing, and SmartScout’s brand and seller data answers the questions you actually ask. Pair it with sellerboard or Sellerise for profit.

Agency managing several accounts. Data Dive Standard (10 seats, up to 10 Seller Central accounts) plus Scale Insights. Keep Helium 10 Diamond only if you need its 10 connected accounts under one login.

PPC-heavy seller who wanted Helium 10 Ads. Scale Insights, for a fraction of the jump to Diamond.

Bottom line

Helium 10 is still worth paying for if Cerebro is part of your week. If it is not, you are paying for a bundle to use one piece of it, and a specialist will do that piece better for less. Work out which job you actually use Helium 10 for, replace that one, and keep the difference. For the full stack by category, see our best Amazon FBA tools roundup.
