Verdict: the best keyword-research workflow for a private-label launch, and the tool we would keep if we could only keep one PPC-adjacent subscription.
Data Dive takes the keyword dumps you would otherwise export from Cerebro one competitor at a time and does the actual analysis. You pick the top competitors in your niche, it pulls every keyword they rank for, and the “dive” scores each term by relevance across all of them. The output is a master keyword list with a clear cut line: the terms that matter, the terms that are noise, and how much search volume you are giving up by ignoring each one.
From there it builds the listing structure (title, bullets, backend terms) so the high-value words land where Amazon weights them, and it maps the same list into a PPC campaign skeleton. Rank Radar tracks your organic and sponsored positions on the keywords you chose, so you can see whether the listing is doing what the dive predicted.
The method behind it comes from Seller Systems, and the tool is opinionated in a way we like: it tells you what to do, not just what the data says.
Annual billing is sold as “two months free.” Data Dive used to require a Helium 10 Platinum subscription for its Cerebro data. It has since moved to Jungle Scout data that is included in the subscription, so it works on its own. See Data Dive vs Helium 10 for when one tool is enough.
Private-label sellers launching or relaunching products. Starter is enough for a single brand with a handful of ASINs. Agencies and multi-brand operators are the Standard customers, and the seat count is the real reason for the price gap.
Arbitrage and wholesale sellers: you do not control the listing copy, so the master list has nowhere to go. Also skip it if you are not going to run PPC with any structure; half the value is the campaign map.
Data Dive is in our stack and our listing rewrites start as a dive. Rank Radar is the first thing we check after a listing change, because it answers the only question that matters: did the keywords we targeted actually move?
It is a workflow tool, not a dashboard. If you do not learn the method (the free training covers it), the output looks like a wall of numbers. And the data is only as good as the competitors you pick; choose ASINs that do not actually compete with you and the dive will confidently optimize you for the wrong terms.
Starter at $39 a month is a bargain for any seller who owns their listing and runs ads. Pair it with Helium 10 and you have the keyword side of the business covered.
