Verdict: the inventory planner that finally stopped our stockouts, and still the most Amazon-literate forecasting tool we have used.

    What it does

SoStocked forecasts demand per SKU from your sales history, adjusts for seasonality and your own growth assumptions, and tells you what to order and when, taking supplier lead time, freight time, and the FBA inbound delay into account. It generates purchase orders, tracks them through production and transit, and warns you weeks ahead when a SKU is going to run dry. A profit layer (ProfitFlow) adds margin dashboards and fee-prevention alerts.

The reason it beats a spreadsheet is the modeling. Promotions, stockout periods (which a naive forecast reads as zero demand), and multi-warehouse flows are all handled, and the reorder math respects Amazon’s capacity limits.

    Pricing (checked 20 October 2026)

SoStocked was acquired with Carbon6 by SPS Commerce in early 2025, and the two vendor pages currently disagree:

    • ProfitFlow: $97/mo on the SPS Commerce product page. Profit planning, margin dashboards, fee prevention, free trial.
    • ProfitFlow + Inventory: “starting at $250/mo” on the SPS page, while sostocked.com lists a single “Inventory + Profit” plan “starting at $175/mo.”

Treat the inventory product as $175 to $250 a month depending on account size, confirm on a demo, and note that the old three-month and six-month contract pricing from the Carbon6 era is gone.

    Who it is for

Private-label sellers with enough SKUs and long enough lead times that a stockout costs real rank. If you order from overseas with 60 to 120 days from PO to FBA receipt, the tool pays for itself the first time it tells you to order a month earlier than your gut said.

    Who should skip it

Sellers with a few SKUs and domestic suppliers who can reorder in a week. The forecasting is overkill there, and sellerboard’s reorder alerts cover the basics. Also skip it until you have at least a year of sales history; the forecasts need data.

    Runs our store

SoStocked is our inventory planner. From where we sit the transition to SPS Commerce has been quiet: the product kept working, the login moved, and the pricing got simpler.

    The honest caveats

Setup is heavy. You will enter lead times, MOQs, and cost structures for every SKU before it says anything useful, and the first month is spent correcting its assumptions. The ownership changes in 2025 and 2026 make the roadmap less certain than it was.

    Bottom line

For an import-based private-label business, this is still the forecasting tool to beat. We have no affiliate link for SoStocked at the moment; the link below is the vendor’s own.
