    Best for

    • Pre-launch sellers who want product and keyword research for $29 a month
    • Sellers who want supplier research and review automation in the same plan
    • Brands that want two years of product and keyword history on one plan

    Skip it if

    • You live in reverse-ASIN keyword research and want Cerebro-level depth
    • You sell on Walmart or TikTok Shop as well as Amazon
    • You want PPC automation without moving up to an enterprise contract

    Pros

    • Growth Accelerator at $49/mo annual undercuts Helium 10 Platinum by half
    • Unlimited product database and Opportunity Finder searches from Growth Accelerator up
    • Supplier database, review automation, and rank tracking included on the middle plan
    • Two years of product and keyword history on Brand Owner

    Cons

    • No free plan and no free trial, only a 7-day money-back guarantee

    • Catalyst has ad analytics and negative harvesting, but no bid automation
    • Amazon only, with no Walmart or TikTok Shop coverage we could find

Verdict: the better value for a seller choosing a first product on a budget, and the weaker tool once keyword research and PPC become the daily job.

    What it does

Jungle Scout splits into two products. Catalyst is the self-serve suite for sellers under roughly $1M a year, and it is what this review covers. Cobalt is the enterprise platform for larger brands, sold per user on a demo and priced privately.

Inside Catalyst, the research side carries the subscription:

    • Product Database filters the catalog by category, price, sales, reviews, and size to surface products worth a look.
    • Opportunity Finder works from the niche level instead, scoring keyword-defined markets by demand and competition.
    • Keyword Scout takes a seed keyword or a competitor ASIN and returns search terms with volume, trends, and sponsored-bid data on the paid tiers above Starter.
    • Supplier Database searches import records to show which factories ship for which brands. Helium 10 has no equivalent we know of.

Around those sit the browser extension (Chrome and Firefox), a sales estimator, Listing Builder with AI Assist, Rank Tracker, review request automation, advertising analytics with negative keyword harvesting, an inventory manager, and an FBA reimbursement tool. We would judge them the way we judge Helium 10’s extras: useful to have, not reasons to subscribe.

    Pricing (checked 26 October 2026)

No free plan and no free trial. Every standard Catalyst plan has a 7-day money-back guarantee.

    • Starter: $49/mo billed monthly, or $29/mo on the annual plan ($348 a year). One user, 50 tracked products, 100 Product Database and Opportunity Finder searches a month, 50 Keyword Scout searches, no exports, no supplier database.
    • Growth Accelerator: $79/mo monthly, or $49/mo annual ($588 a year). Unlimited Product Database and Opportunity Finder, 250 Keyword Scout searches, supplier database, 500 Rank Tracker keywords, Listing Builder, review automation, advertising analytics. Extra seats are $49/mo each.
    • Brand Owner + CI: $149/mo monthly, or $129/mo annual ($1,548 a year). Unlimited Keyword Scout, 2,000 tracked products, 5,000 Rank Tracker keywords, two years of history, and the Competitive Intelligence module. The comparison table says 3 seats; the FAQ on the same page says 10. Ask before you buy for a team.
    • Cobalt: custom pricing for brands over $1M in annual revenue.

    Who it is for

Sellers still choosing a first product. Starter at $29 a month on the annual plan is the cheapest way into a full research suite, and Growth Accelerator at $49 removes the search caps that make Starter feel like a demo. The supplier database is a genuine extra for anyone sourcing a first product, and the three-plan ladder is easier to read than most pricing pages in this category.

    Who should skip it

Sellers whose work is mostly keyword research on an existing listing. Keyword Scout does the job, but the search caps on the cheaper plans and the lack of a Cerebro-style multi-ASIN workflow add up when you audit competitors every week. Skip it too if you sell on Walmart or TikTok Shop, or if you want bid automation; Catalyst reports on ads but does not run them.

    Our stack

We do not run Jungle Scout. Our account runs on Helium 10, so this review is comparative, built from Jungle Scout’s published plans and documentation rather than from our own seller data. We have no affiliate relationship with Jungle Scout; the button on this page goes straight to the vendor.

    The honest caveats

Sales estimates are modeled from Best Sellers Rank, as they are in every tool in this category, so treat them as a ranking, not a forecast. Catalyst’s full feature set covers the US, Canada, Mexico, the UK, and the big four EU marketplaces; other Amazon marketplaces get partial support. And the plan pages do not always agree with themselves, as the Brand Owner seat count shows.

    Bottom line

If you are pre-launch and paying for research out of your own pocket, Growth Accelerator on the annual plan is the best value in the category. Once you own a listing and live in keyword data, Helium 10 is the one we pay for.
