Jungle Scout Alternatives in 2026: What's Left After Viral Launch
Jungle Scout alternatives checked against live pricing: which tools beat it on price, keywords, or brand data, and which listicle picks are dead or changed.

Search for Jungle Scout alternatives and several of the top results still recommend Viral Launch. Viral Launch stopped taking customers and shut down. For a while its domain forwarded to Intellifox, a sister product under the same owner. When we checked it for this guide, it no longer did even that: the address now lands on a domain-parking page. A list that still sends you there has not been checked in a long time.
So we checked everything. Every tool below is still operating, every price comes from the vendor’s own pricing page, and every recommendation is tied to the reason you are leaving Jungle Scout in the first place. That reason matters more than any ranking, because the tool that fixes “too expensive” is not the tool that fixes “not enough keyword data.”
A disclosure first. Our private-label store runs on Helium 10, Data Dive, and Sellerise, and we pay for all three. We do not run Jungle Scout or SmartScout; our view of those comes from their published plans and documentation. Some of the review pages linked here carry affiliate links that pay us. Keepa, AMZScout, and SellerSprite do not pay us anything, and two of them are recommended anyway.
The dead and the changed
Before the list, the tools you should stop seeing on lists:
| Tool | What old listicles say | What is true now |
|---|---|---|
| Viral Launch | A cheaper all-in-one with strong launch tools | Shut down; the domain is now parked |
| ZonGuru | Product and keyword research suite | The pricing page now sells Helix, an AI listing-rewrite tool for the US and UK, from $124/mo on annual billing. It is not a research suite replacement |
| Egrow | Free product research extension | The site stopped resolving; no shutdown notice |
| Zoof | Budget research tool | Retired by its parent company |
| Sellics | Free keyword tool (Sonar) | Merged into Perpetua; Sonar retired |
If a “best alternatives” page leads with any of these, close the tab.
The short answer, by reason for leaving
- It costs too much: SellerSprite or AMZScout for a full research tool at about $33 a month on annual billing, or Keepa if you mostly need history and filters.
- There is no free trial: Helium 10’s free plan, SellerSprite’s 3-day trial, or the free tiers of Keepa and the Sellerise extension.
- Keyword Scout caps run out: Helium 10 Platinum for Cerebro, plus Data Dive if you want the analysis done for you.
- You want brand and category intel: SmartScout.
- You want real profit numbers: none of the research suites. Use Sellerise.
Pricing at a glance
Prices are from each vendor’s own pricing page. The first figure is the cheapest useful plan on annual billing, per month; the monthly-billing price is in brackets.
| Tool | Entry plan | Next plan up | Free plan or trial | Best at |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jungle Scout | Starter $29 ($49) | Growth Accelerator $49 ($79) | No; 7-day money-back | Pre-launch research, supplier lookups |
| Helium 10 | Free plan; Platinum $99 ($129) | Diamond $279 ($359) | Free plan, no card | Reverse-ASIN keywords, PPC |
| Data Dive | Starter $32 ($39) | Standard $124 ($149) | No free plan | Turning keyword data into a listing and PPC plan |
| SmartScout | Basic $29 ($49) | Essentials $99 ($119) | No; 7-day money-back | Brands, sellers, subcategories |
| SellerSprite | Basic $32.50 ($39) | Standard $65.83 ($79) | 3-day free trial | Uncapped keyword and reverse-ASIN searches |
| AMZScout | AI Bundle $33.33 ($59.99) | One plan; add-on packs $99.99 a year | No; 10-day money-back | Beginner product database plus extension |
| Keepa | Free extension; Pro €24.17 (€29) | None | Free tier | Price, rank, and Buy Box history |
| Sellerise | Starter $19.99 (monthly only) | Growing $39.99 | 7-day trial, no card | Profit tracking and reimbursements |
A few notes the table cannot hold. SellerSprite’s annual Basic plan is $390 a year, but its monthly Basic plan includes no product or keyword trackers at all, so the cheap monthly price is cheaper than it looks for a reason. AMZScout also sells a 3-month AI Bundle at $169.99. Keepa bills in euros. SmartScout’s useful brand data starts on Essentials, not Basic.
If price is the reason
Be honest with yourself first. Jungle Scout Starter at $29 a month on the annual plan is already one of the cheapest suites in the category. The problem is what Starter gives you: 100 database searches and 50 Keyword Scout searches a month, no exports, no supplier database. Growth Accelerator at $49 is the real Jungle Scout, so that is the number to beat.
SellerSprite beats it on keywords for less money. Every plan, including Basic, lists keyword mining, reverse ASIN, product research, and the browser extension with no daily cap; the limit that bites is trackers, not searches. At $390 a year for Basic, that is a lot of research per dollar. We have not run it on our own listings, so use the 3-day trial on the monthly plan to run your actual competitor set before you pay for a year.
AMZScout is the beginner’s version. One bundle at $399.99 a year covers a product database, the PRO extension with a sales estimator, keyword search, and product and keyword trackers. It is the closest thing to Jungle Scout’s “find me a product” workflow at a lower price, with less depth on keywords. Its sales estimates are modeled from Best Sellers Rank, like everyone else’s.
Keepa is not a suite, and it may be all a careful researcher needs at first. The free extension shows price and sales-rank history on any listing. Pro, at €29 a month, adds Product Finder, which filters the catalog by monthly units bought, seller count, Amazon’s presence on the listing, and Buy Box statistics. Every tool on this page shows estimates. Keepa shows the history those estimates are built from, which is why we would keep it next to any of them.
If the missing free trial is the reason
Jungle Scout has no free plan and no trial, only a 7-day refund window. If you want to learn before you pay:
- Helium 10’s free plan needs no card and gives limited runs of Cerebro, Magnet, Black Box, and the Xray extension. It is enough to learn how reverse-ASIN research works, not enough to research a launch.
- SellerSprite offers a 3-day free trial of its monthly plan.
- The Sellerise Chrome extension now does product research, and its core is free: estimated sales, revenue, price history, and FBA fees on any listing you browse. We use it as a second opinion next to Xray. Where two models agree, you have a number.
- Keepa’s free extension, for history.
If you go the refund-window route with any paid tool, treat the window as your trial. Line up your whole shortlist before you sign up and run all of it in the first three days.
If keyword depth is the reason
This is the reason we hear most often. Keyword Scout does both directions, seed term and competitor ASIN, but it caps you at 50 searches a month on Starter and 250 on Growth Accelerator. Unlimited starts at $129 a month on Brand Owner, which is more than Helium 10 Platinum.
Helium 10 Platinum is what we pay for, and Cerebro is why. Give it a competitor ASIN and it returns every keyword that listing ranks for, with volume, the competitor’s position, and how many other products rank. Run it on five competitors and you have most of a listing rewrite. We covered the full head-to-head in Jungle Scout vs Helium 10, so we will not repeat it here.
Data Dive is the layer on top, and our listing rewrites start there. It takes the keywords of your whole competitor set, scores each term by how many competitors rank for it, and hands back a master list with a cut line, a listing structure, and a PPC skeleton. One detail most comparison pages miss: Data Dive’s own extension listing says it pulls data from Jungle Scout at no additional cost, and Jungle Scout lists Data Dive as a partner. So if you like Jungle Scout’s data but not its keyword workflow, Data Dive Starter at $32 a month is a cheaper fix than Brand Owner. Our Amazon listing SEO guide walks through that workflow step by step.
If brand and category intel is the reason
Jungle Scout’s market-share and competitive-intelligence views live on Brand Owner and, for bigger brands, on Cobalt behind a sales demo. If what you actually want is “which brands are growing in this subcategory, and who sells them,” SmartScout starts there instead of at the product.
Its databases cover brands, sellers, and subcategories, with estimated revenue, seller counts, and Buy Box ownership. Basic is $49 a month, or $29 on annual billing, but brand-level data starts on Essentials at $119 monthly or $99 annual, and seller and subcategory data needs Business at $299 monthly or $239 annual. It is the strongest tool on this page for wholesale and arbitrage sellers. Private-label sellers who already own Helium 10 or Data Dive can usually skip it, or buy one month for a serious check on who controls a niche. Readers can use the code BBS25 for 25% off the first three months on any plan.
If profit tracking is the reason
Jungle Scout’s sales dashboard is fine for a glance. So is Helium 10’s. Neither is what you close the books with, and switching research suites will not fix that. Sellerise nets revenue, Amazon fees, refunds, PPC, and cost of goods per day and per product from $19.99 a month, and its reimbursement tools on the Growing plan take no percentage of what you recover. It is the first tab we open each morning. sellerboard is the gentler alternative if you want a more guided dashboard.
Where Jungle Scout still wins
Leaving is not always right. Jungle Scout does several things better than anything on this page:
- The Supplier Database. Import records showing which factories ship for which brands, included from Growth Accelerator up. Nothing else here has a direct equivalent.
- Opportunity Finder. Scoring niches by demand and competition is a cleaner starting point for a first product than most catalog filters.
- Price for what you get. Growth Accelerator at $49 a month on annual billing, with unlimited database searches, rank tracking, and review automation, is hard to beat before launch.
- Two years of history on Brand Owner, and a Firefox extension as well as Chrome.
If you are pre-launch and sourcing your first product, our product validation process works fine on Jungle Scout. The reasons to leave mostly show up after you own a listing.
Verdict by seller type
First-time seller, tight budget. Start on Helium 10’s free plan and Keepa’s free extension to learn what demand and history look like. When you are ready to research seriously, either buy Jungle Scout Growth Accelerator for a month or two or try SellerSprite for less. AMZScout is the pick if you want one simple bundle and a product database to browse.
Live private-label brand. Helium 10 Platinum plus Data Dive Starter, at $99 and $32 a month on annual billing. That is our stack, and it covers keywords, listings, and PPC structure for about the price of Jungle Scout Brand Owner alone. Add Sellerise for profit.
Wholesale or arbitrage. SmartScout, with Keepa Pro for history. Neither Jungle Scout nor Helium 10 is built around brands and sellers the way SmartScout is.
Researcher who distrusts estimates. Keepa Pro at €29 a month and a spreadsheet. You will do more work, and you will understand every number.
Bottom line
The honest list of Jungle Scout alternatives is shorter than the listicles suggest, because some of their picks no longer exist. Helium 10 is the alternative we pay for, Data Dive is the one that fixes keyword depth, SmartScout is the one for brand data, and SellerSprite and AMZScout are the cheaper paths.
