Verdict: the cheapest reliable way to turn social comments into attributed Amazon sales, and worth it on the Pro plan the moment you run creator content.

What it does

Manychat automates direct messages on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook Messenger, and WhatsApp. The pattern that matters for an Amazon seller is simple: a post or creator video says “comment LINK,” Manychat watches the comments, and it sends each commenter a DM with your Amazon Attribution link. That link earns the Brand Referral Bonus (a rebate of roughly 10% of the sale) and shows up in Amazon’s attribution reports, so you can finally see which creator or post drove the order.

Beyond that trigger, it handles keyword replies, story-mention responses, follow-up sequences, and broadcasts to people who have messaged you. The AI features write replies and handle open-ended questions; they are useful, not magic.

Manychat repriced in 2025 and now bills on active contacts per month, meaning people who actually interacted in that billing period, not list size.

Overage is charged per extra contact (about 5 cents each on Pro, monthly billing). Essential and Pro have a 14-day free trial.

Who it is for

Brands that drive external traffic: anyone working with creators, posting product content, or running TikTok Shop alongside Amazon. If you have ever manually DMed a link to a commenter, this pays for itself the first week.

Who should skip it

Sellers with no social presence and no plan to build one. Manychat does nothing on Amazon itself. And if you only need the comment-to-DM trigger on one account with light volume, the Free plan’s 25 active contacts may genuinely be enough; do not upgrade until you hit the cap.

The honest caveats

The 2025 repricing stung: the old free plan allowed 1,000 contacts, the new one allows 25 active. Instagram’s API also changes under Manychat’s feet a few times a year, and when it does, flows break without warning. Check your automations after any Meta platform update.

Bottom line

Start on Free, move to Pro ($29 a month annual) once creator content is a real channel, and treat the Brand Referral Bonus as the subscription’s funding source.
