Verdict: the project board a seller and a VA can agree on in ten minutes, and the free plan covers most small teams indefinitely.

What it does

Trello is a board of lists of cards. That simplicity is the point. A product launch becomes a board with lists for Sourcing, Samples, Listing, Launch, and Done, and every task is a card with a checklist, a due date, an owner, and attachments. Power-Ups add calendars, custom fields, and integrations; Butler automations move cards and assign people when something changes. Shared with a virtual assistant, it becomes the operating system for the work that is not inside Seller Central.

Pricing (checked 20 October 2026)

  • Free: up to 10 collaborators and 10 boards per workspace, unlimited cards and Power-Ups, 10 MB per file, 250 automation runs a month.
  • Standard: $6 per user per month billed monthly, or $5 on annual billing. Unlimited boards, 250 MB files, 1,000 automation runs.
  • Premium: $12.50 monthly, or $10 annual, per user. Unlimited automation, calendar and timeline views, admin controls.
  • Enterprise: $17.50 per user per month, annual only.

A 14-day Premium trial needs no card.

Who it is for

Solo sellers with a VA or two, and small teams that need shared checklists more than they need Gantt charts. If your “project management” currently lives in a notes app and a group chat, this is the upgrade.

Who should skip it

Teams that need dependencies, workload views, or documentation alongside tasks. Notion or Asana handle those; Trello stays a board. Also skip paying for it until the 10-board limit actually bites.

Runs our store

Trello holds our launch checklists, supplier follow-ups, and the recurring weekly tasks. The repeating-card automation is the feature that matters: the same monthly tasks reappear on schedule without anyone remembering to create them.

The honest caveats

Boards sprawl without discipline. The free plan’s 10-board limit arrives sooner than you expect if you make a board per product. Atlassian’s recent redesigns have added clutter without adding much.

Bottom line

Free until it is not, then $5 a user. No affiliate link; vendor link below.
