Verdict: the first subscription a serious seller should buy, because a domain email is the difference between a brand and a hobby in every supplier’s inbox.

What it does

Google Workspace is Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Meet, and Calendar on your own domain, with admin controls, shared drives, and Gemini built in. For a seller the practical wins are a professional address for Seller Central, suppliers, and brand registry; Sheets as the home of every cost model and inventory tracker; and shared drives for the listing images, invoices, and SOPs a VA needs to reach.

Pricing (checked 20 October 2026, per user per month)

• Business Starter: $7 on an annual commitment, or $8.40 on the month-to-month Flexible plan. 30 GB per user.
• Business Standard: $14 annual, or $16.80 Flexible. 2 TB per user, recording in Meet, shared drives.
• Business Plus: $22 annual, or $26.40 Flexible. 5 TB, Vault, advanced controls.
• Enterprise: contact sales.

14-day free trial. The pricing page is currently running a new-customer promotion of 50% off the first few months on up to 20 users; the fine print on its duration is inconsistent, so read it before you count on it.

Who it is for

Every seller with a domain. Starter is enough for one or two people; Standard is the step when you want shared drives and more storage for product photography and video.

Who should skip it

Sellers already on Microsoft 365, which does the same job, and anyone unwilling to run email on their own domain yet. There is nothing here for a seller who insists on a free webmail address, except our advice to stop.

Runs our store

Google Workspace is where our business runs: email on the brand’s domain, Sheets for every cost and forecast model, Drive for the asset library. It is the least exciting subscription in the stack and the one we would miss first if it vanished.

The honest caveats

Prices rose in 2025 when Gemini was bundled in whether you wanted it or not. The Flexible plan is 20% more than the annual commitment, and annual means you pay for a user you remove mid-year. Storage counts include email.
