Verdict: the accounting sync to choose when you need true per-SKU profit in your books, not just a clean settlement summary.

    What it does

ConnectBooks reads your Amazon settlement reports (plus Shopify, Walmart, eBay, Etsy, TikTok Shop, and Temu if you sell there) and posts them into QuickBooks Online or Xero as properly categorized journal entries: sales, refunds, each Amazon fee type, advertising, reimbursements, and sales tax. That is the same job A2X and Link My Books do.

Where it goes further is inventory. The Diamond tier and above post at the SKU level, track landed cost (product plus freight plus duties), handle bundles and kits, and give you cost of goods sold per unit that matches what you actually paid. The Platinum tier is a full inventory system with purchase orders, multi-warehouse tracking, and automated FBA reconciliation.

    Pricing (checked 20 October 2026)

Every plan starts with a 30-day free trial. Prices are “starting at” one marketplace and scale with monthly order volume; each additional store is $25/mo.

    • Gold: from $149/mo. Daily summary posting, no item-level detail.
    • Diamond: from $199/mo. Per-SKU posting, landed cost, bundles, multi-currency.
    • Platinum: from $349/mo. Full inventory management, POs, AI bill reader, FBA reconciliation.

    No annual pricing is published.

    Who it is for

Sellers with real COGS complexity: multiple suppliers, freight that varies by shipment, bundles, or more than one channel feeding the same books. If your accountant has ever asked “what did this unit actually cost you,” Diamond answers it.

    Who should skip it

Single-channel sellers with simple inventory. A2X or Link My Books will post clean settlements for a fraction of the price, and your accountant can handle COGS as a periodic adjustment. ConnectBooks earns its fee only when you use the inventory layer.

    Runs our store

ConnectBooks is what gets our Amazon and off-Amazon settlements into QuickBooks every month. The per-SKU cost tracking is the reason to choose it over a cheaper summary-only sync: the margin in the books should match the margin in your profit dashboard, and with a summary-only sync it will not.

    The honest caveats

It is expensive next to the summary-only tools, and the pricing page’s order-volume sliders make the quoted tiers hard to pin down; expect to confirm your actual price in the trial. Setup takes an afternoon with your chart of accounts open.

    Bottom line

If inventory accounting is the problem, this is the tool. If settlement posting is the problem, buy something cheaper. We have no affiliate link for ConnectBooks today.
