Carbon6 Seller Investigators
Done-for-you FBA reimbursement recovery, 25% of what it recovers, nothing up front

Verdict: the right reimbursement service if you want someone else to file the claims, and the wrong one if you already run Sellerise.
What it does
Seller Investigators is Carbon6’s reimbursement arm. Its software audits your account for lost and damaged inventory, overcharged FBA fees, unreturned customer refunds, and inbound shipment discrepancies, and then its team files the cases with Amazon on your behalf. You pay 25% of whatever is recovered, after Amazon has actually paid you. There is no monthly fee and a free audit comes back within 48 hours.
Carbon6 as a whole markets an “all-in-one” seller platform, but there is no bundle subscription; every tool (PPC Entourage, ManageByStats, PixelMe, ScanUnlimited) is sold separately through a sales call.
Pricing (checked 20 October 2026)
- Seller Investigators: 25% of recovered funds, no monthly cost, free initial audit.
- Other Carbon6 tools: quote only.
The ownership story
This matters for a service that holds your data. SPS Commerce bought Carbon6 in early 2025 for about $210 million, then in June 2026 sold the third-party-seller business, including Seller Investigators, to a buyer it did not name, at a loss. SoStocked stayed with SPS. The product kept running through both changes, but the roadmap is a question mark until the new owner says something.
Who it is for
Sellers with meaningful FBA volume who do not want to learn the claim process. Amazon’s reimbursement windows have tightened, cases need evidence, and a team that files hundreds a week gets fewer rejections than a seller filing two a month. If a quarter of the recovery is worth never thinking about it, this is the trade.
Who should skip it
Anyone already paying for a tool that includes reimbursement auditing, which today means Sellerise on the Growing plan or above (no recovery fee), or Helium 10 with its managed refunds (18% of recoveries on Platinum, 15% on Diamond). Paying 25% on top of that is paying twice.
Runs our store
Seller Investigators is in our stack on the contingency model, which means it costs nothing in a month where it finds nothing. Running Sellerise’s audit alongside it and comparing what each catches is the honest way to decide whether the 25% stays justified.
The honest caveats
25% is the top of the market. The claim types it files overlap heavily with what the fee-free tools surface. And two ownership changes in eighteen months is a reason to keep your own records.
Bottom line
Take the free audit. If it finds thousands you did not know about, let them file it. Then decide whether a fee-free audit tool makes the service redundant. No affiliate link here; the link below is the vendor’s.
